Manual Handling Course Content
Duration approximately 3 hours
Cost £50
Certificate valid for 3 years
This course is registered with CITB NI for grant assistance (terms & conditions apply)
Our Manual Handling Training Course delivers 3 - 4 hours of classroom based instruction
to enable candidates to gain an understanding of the process of lifting and moving loads,
be able to identify risks and determine the safest method of handling without injury, in line
with approved code of practice, accepted lifting methods and regulations. This comprehensive
course is suitable for anyone in an organisation who is required to handle, lift, push or move
any load from office workers, construction workers to production line operators.
Under health and safety legislation, there is a duty to identify where the moving of loads
could lead to a significant risk of injury and then to take common sense measures to reduce
the risk. Avoidance of the risk is always the best option, typically followed by the use of
machinery. However, for most businesses, manual handling by people will always be required
for some tasks - as will manual handling training, to ensure that they do it as safely as possible.
