PASTORAL CARE“The relationship between the trainees and tutors are excellent. Coalisland Training Services Ltd is a caring organisation and the trainees feel secure and supported in their training programme. The staff demonstrate a strong commitment to the trainees’ success and their overall welfare.” Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) Pastoral Care in CTS is the ethos through which our learners develop and learn to their optimum potential. We provide the opportunity for all learners to develop into responsible, self-aware, confident, and capable young people equipped to cope with the challenges of the 21st century. CTS believes Pastoral Care must form the basis of, and permeate, all aspects of the curriculum. We have a dedicated member of staff who takes responsibility for monitoring attendance, punctuality and progress. She also offers individual support to each learner, providing guidance and celebrating success. Our Designated Person (Safeguarding) has the responsibility for supporting and encouraging the academic and pastoral development of all learners. In CTS we adopt an ‘open door’ policy where learners always have someone to talk to. Mr Leo Quinn (Chairman) is our Designated Person and Miss Eileen McGee is our Deputy Designated Person Officer.
